The Aeronautic Museum

Created in 1980, the Aeronautic Museum of the Peninsula of the Côte d'Amour in La Baule is currently one of the most popular sites in the world for its restoration work and conservation of aeronautical wealth.

Its first renovation consists in following the biplane Caudron-Renault C-275 "Luciole". This project made him receive the Phoenix Honorary Diploma from the Fédération Aéronautique International. Recently, in 1999, this Museum of La Baule has been brought out again by the Aéro-Club de France, a well-known centenary institution, before being awarded the Grand Prix of the Aéro-club thereafter de France Zenith Cup for having established an exceptional restoration of a Morane-Saulnier umbrella monoplane 317.

This great renowned site of La Baule opens among other things its doors to visitors, every weekend from 9 am to 17h. However, it is possible to book the Museum for school trips or other events for business days from Monday to Friday. This exceptional aeronautical space is the perfect place to discover a whole new world ... Take your children there so they can get a glimpse of the vocation and maybe join the aviation team later ...

In this place often take place large-scale events like the awards ceremony of the association Mapica where the latter will be awarded the 3rd prize ex aequo by the Aero-club of France for the great benefit of renovation that it has undertaken on the MS 317 aircraft. A conference was also organized on the premises following an original theme: "Why and how flies an airplane".

The Aeronautical Museum also hosted the "Aviation without Borders", which aimed to share and disseminate the activities of the Mapica association in France as well as in other African countries. Basic initiations will be offered to visitors wishing to try aviation.
