Events in My Home In La Baule, Loire Atlantique

Many events are organized in the summer in La Baule and its surroundings.

For music lovers, the Jazz festival of La Baule is held in July and early August. It offers free concerts every Thursday evening in front of the casino, on Fridays on Place Leclerc and on Saturday morning Avenue Lajarrige. The Parc des Dryades hosts the last concert of the season, by reservation.

On Thursdays, during the whole summer, you can also go on the Thursdays of the harbor, at Pouliguen. On the Quai Jules Sandeau, free concerts take place in the open air: festival dance, Celtic music, young talents, reggae, rock, there is something to suit all tastes!

In Guérande, the Zyc'ô Remparts festival sets ablaze the Green Coulée with blues and rock concerts, around mid-July. In mid-August, the Celtic festival of Guérande will make you discover the richness of the Celtic culture, its dances and its music.

As far as the sport is concerned, Les Voiles de Légende - Trophée Gavottes (beginning of August) is one of the stages of the classic Manche Atlantique challenge: fifty legendary boats take advantage of the opportunity to sail back and forth the bay, for the enjoyment of the spectators. In 2016, everyone had the opportunity to admire, from the quays of La Baule and Pouliguen, boats as famous as the Saint Michel II (replica of Jules Verne's boat) or the Pen Duick of Eric Tabarly.

The Derby Dragon International is held in late May and early June in La Baule. It is today an essential stage of the international Dragon circuit. No less than 45 Dragons will compete for the title for 4 days. Come admire them while they get back to the port!

Just as magical, the Festi'vent de La Turballe in June brings together many passionate kites for demonstrations, workshops, entertainment and even street concerts.
