Between the ocean, salt marshes and Brière, La Baule and the surrounding resorts deploy their charms in an exceptional environment. The huge sandy beaches and small wild coves have been attracting holidaymakers since the 19th century. Balzac, Zola, Eugène Boudin, Prévert, to quote only the best known example, as well as the film director Jacques Tati have been charmed by the authenticity of the place. Today, it is its family atmosphere and simplicity that seduce its faithful visitors - and still many celebrities! The most breathtaking of the seaside resorts of Loire-Atlantique has retained the charm that made it famous, its villas of the 20s and 30s, its avenues lined with pine trees, its small harbors where the fishing boats old rigging. La Baule has the perfume of holidays, bike rides, shellfish fishing at low tide and ice-cream tasting on the embankment, watching the sun blush on the horizon. Discover the most Breton resort of the Loire-Atlantique, as well as its surroundings: Pornichet, La Turballe, Le Pouliguen, Batz-sur-Mer, Le Croisic and the superb city of Guérande.
